Transforming the future

Organisational transformation and change is the focus of huge activity and investment. There are many books written and research papers proposed as to why transformation succeeds or fails For us, there are three fundamental building blocks to successful transformation:

  1. Having a meaningful, shared plan
  2. Having business relationships that that will ensure successful execution
  3. Integrating leadership with management

It is strange that many organisations fail to a greater or lesser degree on all counts, given the importance placed on transformation.

In order for people to want to change, they need to understand the path they are being asked to travel and they need to trust and collaborate with their Leader Managers™ on the journey.

A meaningful plan is one where:

  • Everyone has been engaged - The plan should be public, people should be encouraged to contribute, and this process should build shared understanding.
  • The language is direct and explicit - so many plans and strategy documents seem designed to confuse or obscure the goals and actions needed to achieve them. Clarity builds understanding and understanding builds trust.
  • The transition path should be clear. Every person should be valued for the part they play in the process of the transition. It is very easy to alienate individuals and groups less central to the change so embracing everyone in the transition is essential.

Why do we need amazing business relationships™? By now you will know that we believe that at the heart of every successful organisation are amazing business relationships™. Ask, yourself, would you risk change for someone you neither understood nor trusted, and with whom you could neither learn nor collaborate effectively?

Amazing business relationships™ drive these capabilities. Also, they solve a dilemma that many organisations find themselves in whilst grappling with transformation and change - the difference between leaders and managers. Here again, our proposition is compellingly different and seeks to solve this conundrum, enabling transformation and change at phenomenal pace. Our proposition is that you need neither leaders nor managers, you need Leader Managers™, everywhere.
