OUR APPROACH

Group coaching

At Optima we are pioneers of the group coaching approach. Many organisations struggle with the difference between facilitation and group coaching. If your organisation is one of them, we will be very happy to discuss our approach and how we differentiate the two things with you. Group coaching is a thinking based process. It is less to do with the 'how' of a situation or to do with methodologies, and more to do with the thinking to action behaviours that teams bring to their situations.

Our group coaching process is based upon helping teams to learn to adapt their thinking styles and approaches, better understand, trust and learn from each other and then apply this greater capability, adaptability and relationships to the situations that confront them. We use diagnostics to help teams re-learn their thinking preferences and strategies, to integrate options rather than exclude them and, as Business Relationship Coaches, we build relationship capability so that team members can challenge and support each other in changing the ways they get things done.
